SCREEN Europe is pleased to announce the appointment of Osamu Yamagata as President of SCREEN Europe. Effective from 1 October, he will take over from Akihiro Fujii, who will return to Japan to join the board of SCREEN Graphic Solutions Co., Ltd in Kyoto. In his new role, Osamu Yamagata will be responsible for managing and further growing the Japanese high-tech company’s graphic arts business portfolio in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). His responsibilities include SCREEN’s innovative inkjet digital printing technology: Truepress JET for commercial printing, Truepress LABEL for labels and the newly developed Truepress PAC range for Flexible Packaging, as well as SCREEN’s already well-established Computer-to-Plate (CtP) business.
Prior to his appointment as President, Osamu Yamagata was Vice President and Global Sales Manager, having joined SCREEN in 2018 as Sales Manager Label Printers. Mr. Yamagata has extensive international experience, having worked abroad for more than 16 years in Argentina, Brazil and Hong Kong. In addition to his native Japanese, he speaks English, Portuguese and Spanish.
