Commenting on export figures of the chemicals industry in November, Chairman of the Board of İstanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters’ Association (İKMİB) Adil Pelister said: “In November our country achieved an export value of 2.8 billion dollars with a 11.5 percent increase, receiving 12.5 percent share of national exports. Exports made by our industry in January-November period reached 28 billion dollars in value. This has been a challenging year both for our country and for the global economy. We expect that our chemicals industry that still achieved an increasing performance in the last quarter of the year will surpass 30 billion dollars of export value in the end of year. Following the record export value of 33.6 billion dollars we achieved last year, it is very important that we will exceed 30 billion dollars in export value despite all the challenging conditions. We will continue to contribute to increasing exports of our industry and achieving new markets with national exhibition participation, hosted buyer and trade mission organizations, Ur-Ge (Supporting The Development of International Competitiveness) projects we organize as İKMİB.”
