At the General Assembly Meeting of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) held on Thursday, 8 February, the new Board of Directors was announced. At the General Assembly, the Presidium of the High Advisory Council, the full and substitute members of the Board of Directors and the Audit Board were determined. Yakup Benli, CEO and Board Member of Toyo Printing Inks, was elected as a substitute member of the Board of Directors of TÜSİAD.
At the same General Assembly, Orhan Turan was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, while Serpil Veral, B. Can Yücaoğlu and Ozan Diren were elected as Vice Chairmen of the Board of Directors. Ömer Aras was elected as the Chairman of TÜSİAD’s High Advisory Council.
Yakup Benli, CEO of Toyo Printing Inks, which carries out production for the printing and packaging sectors and is affiliated with the Japan-based artience group, one of the world’s leading ink manufacturers, has been active in both sectoral and business associations throughout his 32-year career.
Having previously served as a Board Member of the Turkish Chemical, Petroleum, Tyre and Plastic Industry Employers’ Association (KIPLAS), Board Member of the Paint Industrialists’ Association (BOSAD) and Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Business Council of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), Mr Benli has also served as the Treasurer of the Aegean Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (ESİAD) in addition to TÜSİAD, He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Packaging Manufacturers (ASD), a member of the Chemical Assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association (TKSD) and Vice Chairman of the High Advisory Board of the Printing Industry Education Foundation (BASEV).
