Kyocera, an inkjet printhead manufacturer with a large market worldwide and producing long part life and durable products in the field of laser printing, will exhibit its sectoral solutions at drupa, the biggest exhibition of the sector. Kyocera Industrial Printing Sales Manager Giray Görür shared his evaluations before the fair.
Can you tell us about your experience and background in the printing industry?
For more than 10 years, I have worked as a sales, marketing and colour specialist in different companies. For the last 3 years, I have been working as Industrial Printing Sales Manager at Kyocera.
What do you believe sets Kyocera apart from other companies in the inkjet printing industry?
Kyocera is first and foremost an inkjet printhead manufacturer with a large worldwide market and a company that produces durable products with long part life in the field of laser printing. By utilising its long-standing know-how in these two areas, the company has been able to easily adapt to high print capacity and durable machines in the production segment and gain a foothold in the market.
Can you tell us about your familiarity with digital printing software and how you integrated it into your workflow?
In today’s world, there is a rapid acceleration from conventional production system to digital printing. In response to this acceleration, the colour expectation in digital printing is increasing and the volume of printed jobs is growing. For this reason, workflow automation and colour management systems in printing are becoming more and more important. As Kyocera, we offer many solutions to our business partners in this field, both ourselves and with our 3rd party global business partners.
What strategies do you use to ensure quality control and consistency in digital print output?
Firstly, the ink-based printing technology that Kyocera prefers to use on our production segment machines is currently the most stable printing technology in digital printing technology. This technology offers a much more stable print quality with Kyocera’s printheads and in-house water-based ink. In addition, the Fiery server we use for colour management in our machines enables us to perform world-class colour management.
What do you see as the future of digital printing and how do you foresee Kyocera contributing to its development?
With the developing printing trends in the world, digital printing is gaining more and more importance and increasing the printing volume. However, inkjet seems to be the only system that can meet this increasing printing volume both financially and in terms of machine durability. Kyocera, as a technology manufacturer in this field, will always continue to maintain its leading role in the market with its new products.
Which machines/solutions will you exhibit and highlight at Drupa?

Apart from this, we will exhibit our Genix 1200 series printing unit, which can be integrated into conventional packaging and label machines, and our FOREARTH machine, which makes a difference in the textile printing industry with its high quality and environmentally friendly solutions.
