We continue our steady rise
The furniture, paper and forest products industry continues to take steps to meet its target despite the currencies and tensions between countries in the world economy. Evaluating the sector’s export performance in July, Istanbul Furniture, Paper and Forest Products Exporters’ Association President Erkan Özkan said, “We have had a boom since the first hours of the year. There was a slight decrease in the numbers only during periods when public holidays were long, but we recovered later. Together with all our representatives, we are working hard to exceed our main target of 8 billion dollars by the end of the year. Currently, our producers are working with high energy, gaining good momentum. “We are making great efforts to provide maximum contribution to the country’s economy in these difficult conditions,” he said.
