GSE, the global provider of ink dispensing systems and ink management software, has appointed Weldon Celloplast Ltd. as exclusive agent in India. The agreement covers support for GSE’s Colorsat range of ink dispensers, as well as the company’s GSE Ink manager software suite for automating the handling of ink, for label and packaging converters in the country.
Founded in 1982 and based in New Delhi, Weldon Celloplast Limited, serves India’s label industry as both an agent and having been a self-adhesive labelstock laminator. The company represents several leading global manufacturers of printing equipment, tooling, inspection and waste management systems besides offering tamper evident security label materials.
GSE’s Colorsat dispensing systems, for flexo, gravure and screen inks, automatically prepare accurate spot colours, by blending base colours in precise weights according to ink formulations. Using the company’s ‘Ink manager’ software programs, the dispensers also reuse the ‘press return’ inks left over in the press after production runs in new print jobs, by recalculating ink recipes.
While India’s market for labels is recording healthy growth, label converters face raw material cost pressure and the need to meet tighter colour accuracy targets, while conforming to more stringent environmental legislation.
Kanwardeep Sahni, managing director, Weldon Cellopast, says: “GSE’s Colorsat ink dispensing systems are key to enhancing competitiveness of India’s label printing market: they provide the key to achieving repeatable, consistent colour quality while significantly reducing ink consumption and waste, which are essential requirements for gaining business with global brands.”
Onno Deen, area sales manager, GSE says, “Weldon Celloplast are perfect agency partners, thanks to their longstanding roll-fed labelling expertise and proven record in providing a premium, responsive service on behalf of many leading industry manufacturers.
“As a local contact for installation support and technical advice, Weldon’s support will drive the adoption of best-in-class ink dispensing systems that will help India meet global consumer brands’ quality expectations.”
