Lidya Group, the leading company of our country in the digital printing sector, participated in the APPPEXPO 2024 Fair in Shanghai, China between 28 February – 2 March 2024 and closely examined the technological developments in the sector. For more than 30 years, the exhibition, which has a well-established place in the global advertising, printing technologies and packaging industry; inkjet printing (inkjet) industrial applications, digital printing equipment, substrates and materials, digital textile printing, LED, exhibition display, engraving machines in various fields such as machines and products at the cutting edge of technology were exhibited. Bringing together global manufacturers and buyers, the exhibition offered exhibitors and visitors a feast of technology in the digital printing industry, while offering hundreds of potential business opportunities. Companies and visitors from all over the world such as Turkey, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand attended the exhibition, where market trends and technologies in the digital printing industry were revealed, and had the opportunity to closely see and experience the effects of the transformation in digitalisation and artificial intelligence on the digital printing industry.
Chinese have reached the top level in inkjet technology
Explaining that APPPEXPO Fair, which is the pioneer of innovation and application in the digital printing industry, not only brings together the technological developments in the sector, but also prepares the ground for cross-border business partnerships, Lidya Group Chairman Bekir Öz said:
“At the exhibition in Shanghai, we had the opportunity to see that China has reached a very high level, especially in inkjet technology. The Chinese could take the lead in inkjet technology worldwide in the near future. While Chinese brands will take the lead in print quality, performance and standardisation in the next few years, they can also be half as economical as their European and American competitors. At the fair, we had meetings with Chinese global digital printing machinery manufacturers. I observed that Chinese global companies are closely following our country’s market and Lidya Group. We returned from the fair with new cooperation offers and new business partnerships can be realised in the coming period.”
China will have globally recognised brands in the near future
Lidya Group Sales Director Adem Öz, who evaluated the place where technology has reached in the digital printing machines sector, said the following:
“The fair is the biggest fair of the year in China. This year, compared to previous years, I observed an incredible improvement in technology and especially in print quality. Not only wide format machines, but also machines in all areas related to digital printing were state-of-the-art. For example, the increase in print quality and print speed in UV device production shows that Chinese manufacturers have advanced in technology. Not only on the screen side, but also in every field from first pulp paper to industrial 5 metre printing, many different manufacturers took their places at the fair. We observe that China, which made contract manufacturing for world brands in the past years, will position global brands worldwide in the field of digital printing machines in the near future.”
“Digital and Future” theme was discussed
“Digital and Future” theme was discussed at APPPEXPO. With the rapid change and transformation in the digital world, the technology in digital printing machines is gaining new competences every day. This offers new advantages and dynamics to the global advertising and printing industry. Breakthrough technologies and innovative solutions are also reshaping the industry’s position in the market. During the fair; innovations in various fields such as inkjet printing, digital cutting, packaging, textile printing, graphic express printing and the latest innovations in technology were exhibited. Especially inkjet (inkjet) printing industrial applications and the packaging sector constitute new opportunities to expand global business opportunities and expand digital printing applications. The contributions of digitalisation in the printing industry to sustainability in printing, along with its advantages such as increased productivity and green contribution, are being demonstrated. In today’s world of science and technology, it has become inevitable to utilise “digital” to strengthen industrial development. Digitalisation and artificial intelligence applications have become the keywords of industrial development. The opportunities provided by both digitalisation and personalisation will continue to lead the developments in the digital printing industry.
